Holy Week

This is a busy week and you can remember that all of our evening services start at 7 PM.  I invite you to start your observances on Tuesday night at 7 for our regular Bible Study.  You don't have to have been part of this to get something out of tonight.  We're studying John and we'll be reflecting on the heart of Jesus tonight.

Wednesday night is a service called Tenebrae which is new to us here at COTHA.  It's a moving service involving readings and candles.  You will be moved by the reflections of this evening and you don't want to miss it.

Thursday night is a multi-faceted service involving a light dinner, remembrance of the first Communion, foot-washing and the stripping of the altar.  Again, it begins at 7Pm.

Good Friday brings us several different opportunities to reflect on the power of the cross and the depth of the sacrifice Jesus made on our behalf.  It starts with the reading of excerpts from a book called The Day Christ Died at noon.  At 2:00 PM we will have Stations of the Cross; at 3 PM we will be watching The Passion of the Christ in the Youth Room and then at 7 PM our regular Good Friday service will be held in the worship space.

It's a busy week but an important one.  I invite you to take these steps with me as we get ready to celebrate Easter.  God's richest blessings be upon you and COTHA!
