I am getting ready to teach the second in a series of the difficult questions of our faith. Last week I talked about whether or not Jesus is The way, The truth, and The life. According to many in our world, to believe such things is to be narrow minded. After all, does it really matter what I believe, as long as I am sincere?
This question was answered with a resounding yes it does matter! I encouraged all of us who are believers to examine our lives and to see if the way we live our lives reflect what we say we believe. I led us all, including myself, to recommit ourselves to following Jesus as both our Lord and Savior.
This week I look at another difficult question. Many people believe that God wants us to be happy, no matter where that might lead. Here's a couple of questions I will examine: if we're not happy, does that mean that God failed? Is there a difference between joy and happiness? Are there times when God does not want us to be happy?
Join us this Sunday as I continue this series.
